The Slow Learners
Bio

THE SLOW LEARNERS Founded by Ed Jentsh and Brendan Ciotta, eight years ago, The Slow Learners have evolved into a prolific band of our generation; blending the genres of Indie Roots Rock with Blues Funk rhythms, as to create a signature sound that plays as a throwback to the glory days of Groove and Soul music. Comprised of Ed Jentsch (Lead Vocals & Guitar), Brendan Ciotta (Bass & Background Vocals), Paul Palombo (Lead Guitar) and Wilson (Rhythm Guitar, Sampler & Background Vocals), Sam Broe (drums) & Mr. Kraig B. Greff
(Keys sometimes even live).

With the help of the talented Kraig B Greff on organ, keys, and accordian (not to mention his amazing sense of humor which we will not try to translate into text), things really started taking shape. The Slow Learners have framed their career with diverse, musical backgrounds that stem from studio engineer production, to the collective mastery of various instrumentation.

Influenced by such industry legends who include Bob Dylan, The Who, Citizen Cope, Tom Petty and Jimi Hendrix, The Slow Learners are creating records that are filled with humorous undertones; juxtaposed with simple, raw and direct lyrics.

With two, studio LPs recorded and currently in distribution, The Slow Learners have already begun to receive industry recognition by having some of their stand out singles aired via internet radio, as well as amongst an array of FM and Indie radio stations. In 2006, the band released their self-titled, debut compilation. The album was written and produced by lead vocalist, Ed Jentsch at various studios in and around the state of Maryland. The band's follow up project, Incomplete, was never officially mixed, and was distributed in a raw format. Combined, both compilations spawned the success of stand-out hits that include, Jesus Saves, 20 Class A Cigarettes, Hollywood and Party. The critical and commercial success of both projects led The Slow Learners into touring opportunities that further promoted their music to the masses.

During the past eight years, The Slow Learners have taken center stage at many of the increasing popular venues across Baltimore, Washington, Philadelphia and New York City. Having performed at every club in The Greater Baltimore Metropolitan area, the band has been able to solidify their name amongst a cross culture of fans and fellow listeners. They've played various music festivals and conferences, playing as the opening act for Nationally acclaimed bands who include Poi Dog Pondering.

Presently, The Slow Learners are engaged in the post-production of their third studio LP.
Ultimately, The Slow Learners want to have their music showcased in global, television and cinematic projects.

Grounded in their desire to use their music as a simple reflection of Life, The Slow Learners want to tour the world, attracting a vivid array of new fans along the way.
